I Belong to a Witch — Episode 1: Don’t Let Her In

Swipe in on Halloween night. Darius, a paramedic who died in this town decades ago and somehow came back, is celebrating alone with a cupcake and Duke, his old dog. A voice message lands with one warning: whatever happens, don't let her in. Then the doorbell rings. On the porch waits a red-haired witch in black lace and a pointed hat, a single rose in her hand. Morgana calls him 'birthday boy' and already knows his name.

He laughs, points her to the party two houses down and locks the door. Next reel: rose petals spiral up out of his candle flame, and she is standing in his kitchen like she owns it. 'You really thought a little door would stop me?' Darius orders her out. She only smiles and warns him that her roses have thorns. Episode 1 of I Belong to a Witch is pure setup heat, every beat a hook.
